I've been purchasing and wearing ECOCLEAR Bio-Based Readers for more than two years now and absolutely love them. I think the style is great and they are very light-weight which makes them extremely comfortable to wear. Also, as the name suggests they are extraordinarily clear. I've always received compliments about them and never hesitate to recommend them to others. They are a little more expensive than some of the cheaper reading glasses on the market but are well worth it in my opinion. As highly as I think of them I’m compelled to give them a four-star rating mainly due to the overall durability. What I typically experience is that the rivets and fasteners become loose so the frames can start to lose their integrity. I’ve tried using eye-glass repair kits to repair them in some instances with moderate success but, overall, I’ve just come to consider them to being quasi- disposable. I’ve had some last a lot longer than others but, if I had to guess, I’d say six months is fairly average before I’m replacing them. In fact, I typically buy two pairs and take advantage of the buyt two get a third pair for free which makes them more cost effective in the long run. I'm not sure if that promotion is currently running but I hope so. Overall, I’m very satisfied and will continue to purchase them as needed which is what brought me out to the website today!

Too bad we can't buy the bridge pieces for these glasses. I echo the love for these glasses. I also have a graveyard of these hoping that maybe the next breakage would be elsewhere so I could get at least 1 salvaged pair.

I agree with all of the comments. I have had at least 6 pairs of these glasses. These glasses break easily, but I treat them roughly. I don't count the pair I ran over with my car when they fell out of my pocket. The bridge broke on two and the corner cracked on one. I will still buy them because they feel weightless and look good. But treat them very carefully!

OMG! I absolutely love the glasses! I have not experienced the issues that others have with them falling apart, my problem has been my negligence. I love the weight, style, and the fact that the flexible frames help the glasses sit straight on my face. I will keep buying these glasses but like another rater, I would love to see more colors.

I bought a pair and within 2 days they were broke. I took them back and exchanged them and within 3 days they were broke. Took them back and exchanged them. The 3trd pair lasted about a week. Took them back but they wouldn't exchange them again or return my money. I don't think that's fair. I have a pair of 99 cent glasses from the 99 cent store that i've had over a year. I could of used the money and a bought 20 pairs that would of lasted a lifetime. You to

I loved these light weight glasses when I first bought them and was quick to replace them when the first ones broke. Now I have a bag full of 1/2 glasses because the bridge has broken. This would be a simple fix if they offered parts. I just broke my last pair, so, for another couple of bucks I get aluminum frames.

Love the frameless design and clear nose piece on the brown pair I own. I've not had problems with them falling apart or breaking, but I wish they were offered in a -175. Variety of powers/strenghts would be a positive addition.

they feel good, they look good, they don't make me look old, I am confident wearing them. they correct my vision better than my prescrition glasses. for the cost of my prescription glasses, I can purchase 14 pair of EcoClear oxygen glasses. this makes up for the fact that they fall apart after 2-3 months, but this has been brought to the companies attention and I am certain they are working on it. PLEASE DON'T CHANGE THE STYLE OR COLOUR CHOICES. PLEASE CONSIDER ADDING A PURPLE TEMPLE. THANKS.
